Prehnite & Epidote Polished Point—POL11

This fun and beautiful specimen has a lot of personality! It is a small to medium and polished point, which sits upright and is just as comfortable being held. The prehnite is the lightest shade of yellow/green shade, which almost looks white—it has a “half and half” high contrast look with the dark Epidote. In this specimen, gemmy crystals of deep olive green, almost black, epidote strike up throughout the palest yellow-green mineral in this attractive polished point. This is an unusual and striking piece, and would make an excellent display or meditation aid! Dimensions: contact me Weight: contact me FORMATION: Prehnite is a complex inosilicate mineral, which forms most frequently in volcanic environments, often growing in association with zeolite minerals. Although orthorhombic, prehnite is most often seen forming variations of the botryoidal (globular) habit. Epidote is a sorosilicate mineral, which is found in regional and contact metamorphic rocks. It forms in habits including massive, monoclinic prismatic crystals, and lovely crystal fans. HEALING PROPERTIES: Prehnite is often associated with dreams--it is also said to enhance deep inner peace and serenity, and to support development of healthy patterns and connections. Epidote is believed to help in the acceptance of positive changes, and is believed to help us make correct choices and emulate what we want to receive.
