Natural Citrine Unheated Crystal Cluster, Brazil—CMIX9

This is a natural crystal cluster of Citrine, the golden yellow member of the Quartz family. It is natural citrine (NOT heated amethyst) from Brazil. The point features lovely pale to golden yellow color, It displays aesthetic (though imperfect) terminations! The crystals are unshaped and unpolished, with some chipping and abraded edges but an overall clean appearance. It self-stands beautifully at an attractive angle. Natural citrine is considered far superior to more prevalent heated amethyst--it is valued for its beauty and healing. This medium sized cluster would make a perfect addition to meditation or gridding collections, and would be equally desirable in any specimen collection! FORMATION: Quartz is composed of silicon dioxide, and is one of the most abundant minerals on the planet. It is found in a multitude of colors, growth habits, and localities. Citrine is the yellow variety of Quartz. The coloring agent is iron. Some citrine is natural, but a great deal of commercial citrine has been heat treated. As a member of the quartz group, the hardness of citrine is 7, and it crystallizes in the hexagonal (trigonal) system. HEALING PROPERTIES: Citrine is believed to enhance manifestation, and spark creative inspiration. Often called the "merchant's stone", it is thought to help acquire and maintain wealth. It is said that citrine is one of the world's only self-clearing stones--that it does not need to be energetically cleared.
