This statuesque specimen is a small to medium sized self-standing point, rendered in beautiful dove-grey Larvikite! The statue has strong lines and beautiful details, with a strong presence and flowing lines. The stone features pretty glowing soft grey and steel grey accents, with muted metallic color and surprising depth. The sharp point sits beautifully on a flat base, and also fits well in the hand. This polished crystal specimen would make a perfect display specimen, meditation aid, or protective presence to watch over your altar. Alternating layers of alkali and plagioclase feldspar cause this ornamental rock’s flashes of blue and silver color. Larvikite occurs in the Larvik Batholith, part of the layers in the Oslo Rift—it’s named for the Norwegian town of Larvik.
